Sheep World – Springboard

Recently Tree King teamed up with More FM and spent the day at Sheep World for Springboard, demonstrating our skills and sharing what being an arborist is all about. Gary and his team at Springboard do amazing work with youth across the Mahurangi region. They create opportunities for youth that they may not have had otherwise and help to guide them on a positive journey.

The job for the day was carried out by Alistair, Cory, James and myself and we were tasked with removing a large dead kahikatea from one of the pig pens. The tree was a hazard to the public and needed to be climbed carefully and sectionally dismantled. We were able to involve the kids which was awesome, they helped to load branches onto the tractor before getting to throw them through one of our mulchers. This was definitely a highlight of their day. It was great to give the kids a little taste of what being an arborist is all about and we are really looking forward to working with Gary and the team moving forward. Brilliant company to deal with. Tree King were fabulous, they were easy to deal with on the phone. Came round to scope job and provide us a quote very quickly. They kept us updated constantly on expectation of timing for job completion and did the job much more quickly than originally anticipated. Luke, and his team are amazing, coming and removing two trees from my property and then grinding the stumps. I was really impressed. Great people to engage with, the lead of the team that came was brilliant checking with me what I needed and generally just making sure everything was done really well. He ensured that safety measures were in place, and that no other plant on my property was impacted. The professional way they went about the work, and these guys were true pleasure to watch as they clearly enjoyed their work.
